I have another 2.5 hours before work but I’m just feeling soooooo lazy ugh I should probably at least go for a walk or something but I just want to sit on the couch or sleep or something
- Mbf oncesomething
- For every person that reblogs this, I will run 1km.
- Each time I finish a run, I’ll promo people depending on how far I went (5km = list of 5)
- You can reblog more than once if you’d like, then you’ll be promoted in a few different lists, and I’ll have to run more! Win win!
Nothing puts my eating in perspective as much as my job. I’m a caregiver for a girl with cerebral palsy, and I have to cook all of her meals and feed her during my shifts.
When I was hired, I was told she wanted to go on a diet. I thought, perfect! I can make all kinds of healthy meals that we can both enjoy :)
Turns out, she actually hates healthy food. Just today (during my shift, so 3pm - bedtime), she ate half a tub of ice cream, almost half a bag of cheesies, mashed potatoes, lots of beef with gravy, 4 nutrigrain bars, 2 rice krispie squares, and 4 sugar cookies.
Like… WHAT?! In that time, I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich and an orange.
I feel so much better about my eating habits when I see how some other people eat. I really need to work with her to get her on the right track, and teach her how to eat properly. It kills me that the fruit and vegetables in her fridge are rotting away while she’s eating loads of crap!
The best running advice I’ve heard;
Don’t worry about your speed. Don’t worry if you’re going slower than a turtle. Don’t worry if you’re going the same speed that you would be if you were walking. Speed takes patience.
I have to remember this tomorrow when I go for my first run in almost a year.
